2025 SEETIAN SALVADOR CUP: UST 1 Emerges as Champions

The 2025 SEETIAN SALVADOR CUP came to a thrilling conclusion on February 22-23, 2025, at the Liberty Hall in Manila. The Class A team event saw 12 teams vie for the top spot, with University of Santo Tomas 1 (UST 1) ultimately emerging as the champions.

In the highly anticipated finals, UST 1 faced off against Street Pongers. Despite a valiant effort, Street Pongers fell short, losing to UST 1. Val Stephen Jaca of Street Pongers put up a strong fight against Alvin Sevilla of UST 1, but ultimately lost with a set score of 2-3.

In the second singles match, Zoren Mendiola of Street Pongers faced off against Eljey Tormis of UST 1, who is also a member of the current Philippine National Team. Unfortunately, Mendiola lost to Tormis, securing the championship title for UST 1.

Tough Dog, composed of John Russel Misal, Matt Ramos, and Alexis Bolante, took third place alongside UST 2, which consisted of Brent Chavez, Joshua Castro, and Paul Antivo. Both teams lost to UST 1 and Street Pongers, respectively, in the semi-final round.

The tournament was successfully completed within a day, with the Class A team event showcasing the skills and sportsmanship of the participating teams. Congratulations to UST 1 on their well-deserved championship title!
